Wednesday 15 October | 9.00-17.00
Do you know the first abbot of l'Épau, Jean de Tolède? He came from England, passed through the Abbey of Clairvaux and the Iberian Peninsula, and left the Abbey of l'Épau in 1244 to become a cardinal. At the same time, he was a great scholar and a renowned physician. Researchers from three continents will be presenting their work on the various facets of this figure's rich career at this symposium.
