The 34-hectare ENS forest of Brette-les-Pins is home to a beautiful mosaic of forest species where you can spot heritage species of flora and fauna.

The Espace Naturel Sensible (ENS) de la forêt de Brette-les-Pins is characterised by the presence of sandy soil where you will find a forest of conifers (Pin maritime) as well as deciduous trees (Pedunculate oaks, chestnut trees). The site is home to a multitude of birds, including the spotted woodpecker, the white-fronted redstart and the common sparrow, a small migratory passerine that is present in the Sarthe from mid-March onwards.
The site is equipped with picnic tables, several signposted footpaths and a fitness trail.
This is a sensitive area due to the rarity of the species present, so visitors must be vigilant about their impact. Please follow the instructions posted at the entrance to the site, i.e. do not light fires, do not pick plants, pick up your rubbish, stay on the signposted paths, keep your pets on a lead and do not use motorised vehicles.
