Week-end découverte du Coteau des Vignes

From Friday 12 to Sunday 14 September, Fresnay-sur-Sarthe town council is organising a series of free events to help you discover or rediscover the Coteau des Vignes!

- Friday 12 September at 6.30pm, Salle André Voisin (Halles): Conference "Un vignoble impossible? Eight centuries of winegrowing in the Haut-Maine / Sarthe region from the 12th to the 21st centuries", by Benoît Musset, lecturer in modern history at Le Mans University.

- Friday 12 to Sunday 14 September, 9am to 6pm, Salle Georges Durand (château grounds, entrance via Place de Bassum): Exhibition "Des vignes, du vin, des hommes: la viticulture en Sarthe du XIIIe au XXe siècle". 23 panels to discover. Exhibition produced and loaned by the Archives Départementales de la Sarthe.

- Saturday 13 September at 3pm, departure from Coteau des vignes (Haut Lieu): Guided tour of the Coteau des vignes with a special opening of the two vineyard houses. Tasting of Clairet de Loré, in the presence of the Coteau des vignes association.
