Using a series of portés, an acrobat explores what it means to be a porter when you have no one to carry. Somewhere between manipulation, acrobatics and tour de force, this show shows the range of relationships that can exist with a mat, an object that is as common in the lives of circus performers as it is absent from their shows. In an uncluttered space, every movement and gesture becomes a metaphor for trust, attachment and risk. Emotion is born of simplicity, where fragility and strength meet in an intimate and essential dance.
Recommended for ages 6 and up.
