Chalet de Courcival, 72110 COURCIVAL
Maurice Loutreuil was a French painter born in Montmirail in the Sarthe region. He was one of the precursors of the École de Paris.
1995 - Maurice Loutreuil's grave in the Chérancé cemetery was accidentally broken.
Wanting to ensure that the grave was not forgotten, I set out to find a similar stone. I travelled through the Sarthe, Orne and Mayenne regions, and finally found the monument of a sculptor in Evron whose grave was to be raised. With the help of the municipality of Chérancé, the tomb was restored and the memory of Maurice Loutreuil honoured.
A talk by Élise Beignard, a painter who has been exploring painting for over thirty years. Passionate about art history, she has travelled to many countries to present her work and enrich her practice.
