Following the acquisition of the portrait of Henri II de Beaumanoir de Lavardin by the Société des Amis des Musées du Mans, we thought it would be interesting to present this rich and powerful family of Breton origin, one branch of which settled in Haut Maine at the beginning of the 15th century.
