Illuminations : Voyage lumineux et sonore

Since 2016, the Abbaye Royale de l'Épau, owned by the Sarthe department, has been illuminated free of charge every winter to offer the public a magical interlude. Over the past decade, this Sarthe event has become an essential part of the festive season. Each edition has seen the creation of new installations, ever more immersive scenographies and thousands of amazed visitors who have left with stars in their eyes.

From 28 November 2025 to 4 January 2026, the Département de la Sarthe is inviting young and old alike to discover a totally reinvented light and sound trail. For the 10th edition of the light trail at the Abbaye Royale de l'Épau, the Le Loup Blanc agency has come up with a scenography that combines tradition and modernity, memory and imagination.
