Exposition d’Élise Beignard “Les chemins”

"I've always looked just beyond the horizon to move forward.... Along the way, I paint to respond to an inner need, to rethink life and embrace it more fully.
The paths are tortuous and steep. Paths are tamed, they move apart, they meet again, they talk to each other, they tell each other stories....
At the crossroads of my fingers, a path opens up to me: I imagine it, I compose it with a stroke, a line, a curve and a detail. Silence breathes....
At the crossroads of my fingers, these suspended moments come together on my palette. The chromatic nuances that are dear to me come in shades of ochre, from indigo to azurite, from cerulean to slate. The combination of oil and wax breathes life into the work.
The pen and brush of a contemplative eye will transcend the bend in the road, sharing with you moments of humanity.
