How can you better understand freshwater pollution and discover the solutions that are emerging in the Sarthe region and across Europe?
This is the question at the heart of the Freshwater Pollution CoLab, a three-day event at the Pathé Le Mans cinema that will transform the venue into a veritable laboratory for ideas, discoveries and collective action.
From 25 to 27 November, this free event invites the public to explore a key issue: freshwater pollution. A major issue, often mentioned but sometimes difficult to grasp in all its complexity.
This event offers a unique format combining conferences, field visits and a hackathon, to understand the mechanisms of pollution, find out about current research and work together to come up with concrete ideas for action. Researchers, associations, businesses, institutions and the general public will be coming together to share their knowledge and compare their points of view.
The event will begin with a day of conferences and discussions on scientific research and local initiatives. A visit to the Maison de l'Eau will then provide an opportunity to take a close look at the issues surrounding water quality in our region.
The event will continue with a collaborative 'hackathon' where participants will work in teams on ideas for innovative solutions. Some of the presentations will be in English, with live translation to ensure that they are accessible to all.
The event is free of charge and is open to anyone interested in freshwater conservation: curious citizens, students, professionals, etc.
Three days to better understand, exchange and act collectively.
