Come and discover this former 16th-century flour mill, still in working order, and its 5-metre paddle wheel, which is over 500 years old.

On the borders of Maine, Anjou and Touraine, in the town of Vaas, in the heart of the Loir valley, the Rotrou mill is still running, much to the delight of visitors and walkers alike. The only one of its kind in the region, the Moulin de Rotrou, a 16th-century hydraulic mill, is open to the public from April to October.

Come to the Rotrou mill and admire the river, the dam and, above all, the great paddle wheel that drives all the machinery that turns wheat into flour. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing our passion for the history of wheat, mills and water.
