It was occupied for a long period in the protohistoric era, and then, after the Roman conquest, acquired a large number of monuments, a place for seasonal, commercial and religious gatherings. Excavations undertaken since 1977 by C. Lambert and J. Rioufreyt have brought to light an ancient theatre (MH), two temples (one of which is no longer visible), baths, a market-forum and an aqueduct. This site has a pathway accessible to people with reduced mobility and signage showing the remains.
