The old-fashioned school at Le Grez (museum school) is located on the edge of the Sillé forest, in a bocage setting near Sillé Plage (Sarthe).
Built in a barn during the Second Empire, the school bears witness to what life was like in a small rural school in Maine in the 19th and 20th centuries (particularly in the 1930s).
All of the school's furniture and textbooks have been preserved. Notebooks from pupils who attended the school are also on display. Former pupils will share their experiences and invite you to write with their pens.
Single-storey, wheelchair-accessible classroom; parking nearby.
