Loop 18: Between stones and marshes
Along the old railway line, now converted into a greenway, enjoy a walk combining nature and expertise. Leave La Flèche and its famous Prytanée and head for Clefs-Val-D'Anjou to reach Fougeré. This pretty medieval village is home to the 12th-century church of Saint-Etienne, topped by a famous twisted bell tower, a local landmark. From manor houses to old mansions, return to Les Rairies and take the route back to La Flèche via the Cré-sur-le-Loir marshes. This regional nature reserve covers 65 hectares and offers nature lovers a wide variety of flora and fauna.
