Départ : PEZE-LE-ROBERT

This 11km route takes in the village of Pezé-le-Robert and the Sillé forest on the hills above the village.

In the eleventh and twelfth centuries, the Couture Abbey in Le Mans created a large number of priories and churches as part of the monastic movement.

In the Pays de Sillé, buildings close to churches still bear the name of priory. The Benedictine monks, whose motto was "Ora et labora" (Pray and work), thus settled the rural population and contributed to the creation of villages.

The village is dominated to the north by the Sillé forest, which also played an important economic role. There is a charming clearing on plot 539.
