Nicola Mills Opera for the people

A British opera singer with an original career path, Nicola Mills makes accessibility and proximity the pillars of her art. Trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, she has sung on major stages, but it is in the street, in hospitals and in unexpected places that she chooses to share her voice. Her 'Opera for the People' project aims to democratise opera by reaching out to all audiences, with warmth and simplicity.

She will be performing in La Ferté-Bernard, on Friday 29 August 2025, at 8pm in the church of Notre-Dame des Marais in La Ferté-Bernard (72400), at the invitation of the Club Inner Wheel du Perche. In keeping with the Club's philosophy of making opera accessible to all, especially those who have never attended a live performance, admission will be 'by the hat', so that everyone can participate freely. Nicola Mills embodies a popular, generous and human opera, far removed from the usual formalism of the genre.

Profits will be donated to a charity for women and children, adding even more meaning to this musical evening.
