Medieval castle of Sillé-le-Guillaume. Group visits by prior arrangement with the Sillé-le-Guillaume Heritage Department. 2025: Open to the public - Daily from 5 July to 31 August - Wednesday to Sunday from 1 to 21 September.
The seat of a very ancient barony of Haut-Maine, the castle was mentioned as early as the 11th century and was heavily modified in the 15th century after the Hundred Years' War. It takes the form of a quadrilateral flanked by towers at each corner, with the enormous machicolated tower dominating the town with its imposing mass.
Group visits by prior arrangement with the Heritage Department, Sillé-le-Guillaume Town Hall.
