Discover the interior and exterior of the church at Saint-Denis-d'Orques

In 1801, the town council proposed rebuilding the church, which had been burnt down by the Chouans.
The church was opened for worship on 14 June 1864 and consecrated by the Bishop of Le Mans.
In addition to the relics of St Constant, St Blandine, St Anne and St Désiré, martyrs, the church contains part of the remains of Blessed Geoffroy de Loudun. Inside the building is a statue of Notre-Dame du Parc from the Chartreux Abbey. Geoffroy de Loudun's tombstone is to the right of the statue of Notre Dame du Parc.

The stained glass windows were designed by the "Ateliers du Carmel", founded by the Carmelites of Le Mans to meet the needs of the fledgling monastery. They are believed to have been made in the 19th and 20th centuries, and some bear the signature of master glassworker J.B. Anglade (1903). They were restored in 1975 by the Avice company in Le Mans.

This church contains an exceptional mural fresco on the 1914/1918 conflict.
