The Gardens of Saint-Julien Cathedral are open!
The Cathedral Gardens are a much-loved public space, but until now access to them has been reserved for special events such as Faites Lire! and Soirs d'Eté... Without waiting for the completion of the major garden development project that is planned, from this summer onwards, members of the public will be able to enter and stroll around the gardens every day.
Stéphane Le Foll: "We wanted people to discover this magnificent place. This exceptional opening throughout the summer is accompanied by a first stage of mediation in the form of a film retracing the history of the cathedral and its impact in shaping the region."
An exhibition will also enable visitors to discover the rich heritage of the building, whose chevet is an emblematic element of the flamboyant Gothic style.
