An unusual museum of old household objects in enamelled sheet metal, housed in a beautiful 17th-century building.

The only museum of its kind in Europe, dedicated to enamelled sheet metal for household use, created by a couple of passionate collectors.

Recommended by the Guide du Routard and Tripadvisor

From the end of the 19th century to the 1940s and 1950s, enamelled sheet metal was used in every household.

In this unusual setting, all the old enamelled kitchen and bathroom utensils are presented in a variety of settings: coffee pots, spice jars, salt or matchboxes, washbasins, jugs, etc.

You'll also discover a large house built around 1625 using wood analysis: half-timbered walls, a fine roof structure and several tufa fireplaces.
We'll also talk to you about some of Castelor's notables who owned the house...

Visitors will be given a guided tour of the building's architecture in French and English.

Reports on Télématin (FRANCE TV) in August 2019, on France TV Pays de la Loire and LMTV in 2020, visible in replay.

Guided tours on Sundays at 3pm.

Group visits by appointment at weekends and during the week, from April to October, for up to 50 people.

Access for cyclists, in the museum courtyard.
