Le Mans Classic, the biggest gathering of vintage cars
How about reliving the 24 Hours in vintage mode? Every two years, Le Mans Classic brings together on the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit nearly 600 cars from 1923 to 1993. This retrospective of the most famous automobile endurance race brings together more than 1,000 drivers on the track.
The event is the largest gathering of vintage cars with nearly 8,500 vintage vehicles from 60 different brands showing off their silhouettes in the general enclosure set up around the circuit. The event created in 2002 by Peter Auto with the Automobile Club de l’Ouest promises 4 days of celebrations at Le Mans which attract nearly 200,000 spectators!
You will find many activities there : American-style drive-ins, vintage bus tours, concerts, dance floor straight out of the sixties, auction of vintage cars… The village of Le Mans Classic exhibitors also reserves multiple food-trucks and stalls of traders under the sign of automotive passion.
Classic Days, the meeting place for historic cars
The annual historic car meeting of Nevers-Magny-Cours has been taking place alternately on the Le Mans-Bugatti circuit since 2019. This gathering, open to all, brings together clubs, professionals and car enthusiasts for the duration of a festive weekend .
Around a motorsport legend guest of honour, the event features driving sessions on the 24 Hours track and a tourist rally . Some 1,600 cars from all walks of life are on display, from the popular to the exceptional and from all eras (until 1980).
A car-motorcycle exchange organized at the foot of the mythical Dunlop within the enclosure of the circuit brings together collectors and lovers of vintage cars. On Sunday, the big parade of all the vehicles entered in the Classic Days is one of the highlights of the event.
Saint-Léo vintage, a retro tourist rally
This tourist rally brings together vintage car enthusiasts for one Sunday. Nearly 80 vintage vehicles criss-cross the Alpes Mancelles for a retro sightseeing tour around Saint-Léonard-des-Bois.
In the afternoon, a commented exhibition allows you to discover all types of vintage vehicles: cars, caravans, two-wheelers, tractors and utility vehicles in a 60s-70s atmosphere. This annual event organized by the association Les amis de Saint-Léonard takes place on the leisure area of the loops of La Sarthe.
