"Chez Michel la vie est belle" is the motto of Michel, the happy, slightly precious owner of the cosy hotel "La Rose des Vents".
It's a beautiful summer's day, and the guests are flocking in: M.
Mr Chabrier, President of Grograins Poulet Label Rouge, and his young mistress Pénélope, Grégoire, an old boy looking for love, Fernande, a frustrated spinster, and Mr Calas de la Frémontière, a widower who has made his fortune in socks.
All these people are determined to have a good stay at "La Rose des Vents", but that's without counting on the unexpected arrival of Mme Chabrier, who has come to surprise her husband on their wedding anniversary.
Michel gets tangled up in a web of lies in an attempt to save the day, resulting in a series of misunderstandings in which no one knows who is who...
