This show is a tribute to a profession, to the women who have taken it on and sometimes carried it at arm's length. The text covers 100 years of farm work, so many years of emotion, fragility and strength all at once.
The Héroïnes project grew out of meetings with retired women farmers. After several years of collecting personal accounts, Anne-Cécile Richard has brought to the stage a documentary theatre in which the 20th century is told through the eyes of these heroines, past and present, raising the question of our common future.
The corner of a table, a blackboard as a backdrop. The light of a desk lamp reveals the story of five generations of joys, sorrows and difficulties. The story tells us about the history of agriculture through the eyes of these women who work with living things.
