A medieval fortress burnt down during the Wars of Religion in 1589, the château was rebuilt in the 1680's. It comprises a large, long rectangular building with a square pavilion at its centre, topped by a belvedere from which a fine stone staircase leads to the upper floor.
Inside is a portrait gallery of paintings dating from the 16th to the 19th centuries. You'll also be surprised by the weapons room, which contains a number of objects brought back mainly from Asia during the grandfather's travels as an explorer.
