Listed as a historic monument, this formal garden was laid out at the end of the 19th century.
At the entrance, the old frames are home to heather plants that produce wonderful colours in spring. Take a stroll down the alleyway of Mediterranean plants (solidago, stachys, agapanthus, etc.) and you'll be able to travel and dream.
Have fun discovering the different varieties of seasonal vegetables in our vegetable garden plots. One of them is occupied from May to October by the stars of the show: cucurbits!
As you stroll around the garden, you might want to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.
The grounds hide a host of other treasures: a Bollée wind turbine that you can make out behind a wall, a conservatory orchard, the herb garden with its pleasant scent of mint, a multitude of plant species (agapanthus, peonies, roses, hydrangeas, tulips, hellebores, yarrow, etc.), the former stables and the inevitable saddlery, not forgetting the queen of the place: the garden greenhouse!
A haven of peace, the kitchen garden is also a veritable Garden of Eden for wildlife (ponds, nesting boxes, insect hotels, bat shelters, etc.), and has been classified as an LPO (League for the Protection of Birds) refuge since 2019.
Free admission to the Kitchen Garden (outside and former stables). Information panels available in the garden and Smartphone game trail "Amélie Courgette's investigations".
