La Belle et la Bête

A ruined old merchant is forced to live in the country with his three daughters. On his way home from a trip, when the storm is raging, he gets lost in the forest and takes refuge in a sumptuous castle that seems deserted.
The next morning, he picks a rose to give to his youngest daughter, but suddenly a terrifying beast appears, furious, and condemns him to death.
However, it offers him a deal: his life or that of one of his daughters. Back home, the father is distraught. Belle, his youngest daughter, decides to take his place and goes to the castle. But what will happen to the young girl when she comes face to face with the horrible beast?
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
