LA PHOTOGRAPHIE À L’ÉPAU

Between sky and stone, forest and light, the Conseil départemental de la Sarthe invites you to enjoy a unique artistic experience: the 13th Saison photographique de l'Abbaye Royale de l'Epau, from 20 June to 2 November 2025. This open-air exhibition takes you on an immersive visual journey through the 13 hectares of parkland, at the heart of a 13th-century Cistercian site.

This new edition brings together heritage and contemporary creation through the eyes of five international photographers. Their works, often presented in very large formats, blend in with the landscapes and architecture of the site, revealing the richness of life, the fragility of our ecosystems and the intimacy of worlds that are often invisible.

From the depths of the sea by Narelle Autio to the Japanese forests of Kazuaki Koseki, from the committed portraits of Jonas Missaye to the poetic creations of Delphine Blast and Fabien Michenet, visitors are invited to take an artistic journey full of meaning and emotion.
