La Chalemie will introduce you to the different instruments used in the Middle Ages and then lead you in a frenzied medieval dance to the sound of their music.

Whether it nourished religion, flattered lords and monarchs, or accompanied festivities and popular gatherings, over the centuries music took shape and established itself as a pillar of medieval society.

After a brief presentation of the instruments known as "haults": bagpipes, hurdy-gurdy, chalemie, sackbut, oboe, bombard, flute and percussion. Then you'll discover the "low" instruments, usually used indoors, in the small rooms of castles, courtyards, cloisters, or like the plaids room in the Manoir de la Cour. You will then enjoy more intimate music with an ensemble of recorders, psaltery and small percussion instruments.

La Chalémie will then lead you in a frenzy of medieval dancing to the sound of her music.

> The entertainment is led by La Chalemie, a small group of 4 or 5 amateur and professional musicians. The instruments used are historical reconstructions.

> The entrance ticket gives access to all the events and to the Manoir de La Cour.
