... with no minimum wage, no sick leave in the event of an accident, no paid holidays, no unemployment, and work tools at their own expense: a smartphone that must have 4G and is expensive, and a bike that is often decrepit... On any given evening of the week, around 8pm, the scene is repeated: dozens of delivery drivers, on bikes or scooters, recognisable by their square cooler bags emblazoned with the logo of the platform they are working for, wait between two fast-food outlets, their eyes glued to their phones. Jules Salé unflinchingly denounces the cynicism of big business and the complacency of the state. More than a testimonial, it's a generational indictment of our society's "Uberising" drift.
