Over the last five decades, the way the French eat has been totally transformed. Their meals have become more varied, more accessible and quicker, but this food opulence comes at a price: food alone accounts for a quarter of greenhouse gas emissions. There is an urgent need to rethink consumer menus, without sacrificing taste or the pleasure of eating. All over France, Thomas Sotto sets out to meet the men and women who have ideas - some simple, some extraordinary - for continuing to feed the French while greatly reducing the impact of food.
