Sonates d’automne

For the 19th consecutive year, the Association "Les Amis des Sonates", chaired by Michel STEIN, is organising the "Sonates", musical walks around Le Mans, which have always been a great success since their creation in 2007.

We are delighted to present a new edition of the "Sonates d'Automne", which will take place on Sunday 28 September 2025 in the afternoon along the Parcours
Confluence trail. It's a 9km walk around the Sarthe and Huisne rivers, with musical stops featuring classical music.
music. This year's Sonatas will feature a trio of musicians from Rouen (violin/viola/cello) performing works by Schubert and Mozart.

The musical tour departs from St Lazare church at 2pm, stopping off at St Georges du Plain at 3.30pm and St Bertrand church at 4.45pm, before returning to St Lazare at 5.45pm for a final musical treat. The 4 musical moments are open to all, walkers and music lovers alike, as well as parishioners and non-walker residents who wish to participate; a contribution by the hatful will be requested at the last concert.
In one afternoon, this event will combine nature, sport, culture and the spiritual... and, under the aegis of music and walking, bring together people who might not otherwise have met.
