Jacques Favrot is a retired engineer from Thales (civil and military electronics). He is a member of the Société d'Agriculture Sciences et Arts de la Sarthe. In this talk, he will take you through the history of electromagnetic waves, as predicted by James Clerk Maxwell, and the experiment conducted by the German physicist Heinrich Rudolf Hertz, who was the first to demonstrate them. He will develop the history and technique of this revolutionary discovery right up to the present day.
