The Lavardin circuit offers a view of the surrounding countryside and the château. The latter was built on the site of the outbuildings of an earlier 17th-century château.
Situated 20 km south-east of Sillé-le-Guillaume, the village of Lavardin offers a view of the surrounding countryside and the château. The château was built on the site of the outbuildings of an earlier 17th-century château.
Start/Finish point: Car park next to Lavardin town hall.
- Go to the centre of the village and turn left to walk past the church.
- Go up towards "Les Rues", in the direction of La Quinte. At the bend in the road, take the grassy path on the right. Keep to the right. In front of the "huilerie" turn left, then right.
- Follow the road, then after the farm turn left and drive alongside it. Continue towards "La Moulinière", following the road.
- Turn left in front of "Les Êtres".
- At the crossroads, turn right, then right again towards Les Chevaleries.
- Drive past "La Gentière". At the junction with the main road, turn left and head back down towards the village. From the heights, you can see the whole village and Lavardin castle. Then return to the car park.
