On this walk through the woods, you'll take some pretty woodland paths and come across a remarkable beech tree that is over a hundred years old. The common beech is easily recognised by its thin, smooth bark. On fertile soils, it can grow to heights of 25 to 35 m, with hundred-year-old beech trees reaching 1.80 m in circumference.
