The boundaries of the commune were redrawn in 1836: some farms, such as La Bardouillère, and some houses in the village became part of Volnay. Since then, the southern boundary has been formed by the Sourice stream. Under the Ancien Régime, the parish seigneury was annexed to the Château du Coudray, which you will see on the right-hand side of the hill as you head towards La Bardouillère. The village still has some traditional houses near the church; it has gradually expanded towards the Sourice crossing point where the Surfonds to Bouloire and Breil to Volnay roads used to cross, which was transformed in the 19th century into the main road from Tuffé to Grand-Lucé.
