Discover the paths of Bernay-Neuvy-en-Champagne and the river Vègre on this 8km trail.
Please note: this route is impassable when the river is in flood.
Start/finish point: car park at the Bernay washhouse (outside the town, just after the bridge on the route de St Symphorien).
- From the large car park, walk down towards the washhouse and follow the grass path until you reach a footbridge across the Vègre.
- Continue along the path and at the exit turn right towards La Roche Tabary.
- When you reach the locality, turn left along a grass track between two crops that leads to the main road.
- Carefully cross the D21 and continue along the grass track that runs around the equestrian centre.
- At the end of the track, turn right towards the small road at Clos d'en haut.
- Cross the route d'Amné and continue straight ahead.
- Cross the Route du Mans (D28) and take the road that runs alongside the cemetery. Follow the track until you reach the farm and turn left onto the track that leads back to the main road.
- Cross the road and the green lane and head for the footbridge over the Vègre. Turn right onto the grassy path that runs alongside the river.
- At the end of the path, turn right and then left towards Petit Quinsay.
- Cross the route de Nourray and follow the path at a right angle to the route de Bordigné.
- Turn left then right. Follow "Le Petit Coudray" and turn left to join the D28.
- Cross the D28, turn left and then immediately right along the track that runs alongside the Château de la Pancherie property.
- When you reach the Route de Ruillé, turn left and then right to reach the large car park.
