These meadows, which used to be mown to provide bedding for cattle, are one of the jewels in the crown of Sarthe's natural heritage, home to large populations of rare and protected species.

This area is mainly made up of two catchment areas at their confluence, along which peat meadows are established, sheltering flora and fauna of great heritage interest. Numerous protected species can be found here, including the Summer Spiranth, the Wetland Azure, the Marsh Orchid and the Broad-leaved Cottongrass.

This site is made up of very sensitive natural environments and can be visited during events or volunteer workcamps. Contact the Conservatoire to find out about the dates of outings or actions planned on the site!
