We make the most of this living heritage by creating one-off pieces in elm, maple, ash, lime, pear, plum... mainly burls.
Through our work, you'll rediscover trees whose wood quality, once highly prized, had fallen into oblivion.
All our objects are turned in the traditional way, by hand, piece by piece. We practise "turning on the fly".
From the green wood sketch to the perfect finish, some pieces take several months of patience to complete. Selecting the pieces, drying them, turning them, sanding them and giving them a patina - each of these intermediate stages requires all the attention and expertise on which the success of our creations depends.
Mastery of a skill combined with artistic creation perfectly define "Les Métiers d'Art".
Visits to workshops by prior arrangement only.
