On our farm, around 200 animals live peacefully for 8 months of the year in summer pastures. During the 4 months of winter, they are kept in large stalls to protect them from the elements. In autumn, around 50 calves are born and remain on the farm for the rest of their lives.
95% of their feed is produced on our farm and is EXCLUSIVELY organic. Every day, their feed consists of around fifteen different types of forage, including ryegrass, clover, cocksfoot, fescue, birdsfoot trefoil and a host of wild herbs such as nettles, dandelion, sorrel, etc. This ration is provided by the pastures during the 8 months of the year when the animals are in the meadows, and in winter, it is provided in the form of hay or silage.
