Permanent floral decoration of the tunnel cells.

The Le Mans tunnel was bored between 1870 and 1877.
It joins the Place des Jacobins to the Pont Yssoir.
The original hill, a strategic stronghold over the centuries, had become an obstacle to the development of the new districts to the west and north of the city.
This new road has facilitated access to the town centre. The hill is now an integral part of the town's landscape, enhanced by the Lighting Plan and the four-season planting of its cells.
