This medieval-inspired garden was completely renovated in 1996. It contains all the plants used in ancient pharmacopoeia.
There are four parts to this gated garden:
- to the north: a carpet of pennisetum that sways in the wind, giving off beautiful silver-grey reflections.
- To the south: yellow tree peonies, foxgloves, angelica, artemisia, sage, fennel, myrrh and fritillaria.
- to the east: a carpet of alchemilla "mantle of Notre Dame", dotted with a variety of hellebores.
- On the forecourt of Notre Dame, the garden opens up to the view and the fragrances are exhaled.
